We had a report early one morning last week that a male leopard was walking down the main access road to our property. Guide Emily quickly swung into gear and managed to relocate him just minutes later. It was the grumpy king of his domain – the Pale Male.
Shortly thereafter, he decided to slink off into the bush. Typical leopard! Luckily, although the grass was long, he wasn’t in a hurry. Our guide managed to spot his progress through the bush by his fluffy white tail poking through the foliage. Consequently, our guests enjoyed a wonderful sighting, watching him casually walk, scent mark and even roll around in the grass. Seeing these elusive animals in their natural habitat is such a privilege few get to enjoy.
